Coach Miles Brazil at Reno Running Company

  • Regulus is a human performance company that provides coaching services to athletes across the globe. This occurs both at our physical locations on the west and east coasts of the USA, as well as remotely via the Regulus Performance App. In addition to private strength and conditioning services, we provide small group training at our physical locations, as well as sport specific instruction for off-road and motocross racers.

  • Whether you are an olympian or a retired school teacher, your journey through life is an athletic one. Whether you are recovering from an injury, getting out of pain, or maximizing your competitive potential, being an athlete means you are deliberately choosing to overcome whatever obstacle stands between you and what you want to accomplish.

  • For all athletes we service, whether in person or remote, we perform a joint by joint screening process to make sure that we properly understand the needs of your body. After we complete this testing, we perform a series of strength balance tests to see how you do from squatting and hinging, to pressing and pulling. For individuals with specific athletic goals, we will perform additional physiological testing as needed.

  • Imagine your doctor wanting to cut you open before running any tests -- this is the equivalent of designing exercise for someone without a thorough assessment. The assessment is required to receive any coaching from a Regulus professional.

  • The Regulus Performance experience and method can best be summarized in this way; we individualize to optimize and refuse to compromise. With our assessment at the foundation and private onboarding sessions that follow, we design our entire process around serving the needs of individuals. If you are in the semi-private (small group) environment, you can expect all 8 athletes to have their own individualized workout to follow. If you are a private client working remote, the coaching you receive is for you alone.

Furthermore, as a Strength and Conditioniong provider, we invest more into our athletes than anyone else in the industry by providing access to trusted clinical professionals for rehabilitative services and primary care. We are the powerhouse that keeps you and your body moving forward.

  • Regulus is not a CrossFit gym, and does not offer CrossFit classes. However, in the semi-private setting, we will regularly use task and time based workouts to accomplish what we want for the day (think AMRAPs, EMOMs etc). We do not bias any particular movements or combination of movements as we will use whatever is necessary to achieve outcomes that align with an athlete's goals. No, semi-private members do not do Murph (sorry).

  • After onboarding, if you are transitioned into groups, you can expect classes to be no bigger than an 8:1 ratio (athletes:coach).

  • If you are training privately, please discuss this with your coach 1:1. If you are training in semi-private classes, we do have a safe place for children to sit and observe the class (or play with their toys). We love children and believe it is important for them to see their parents model physical strength, hard work and discipline. We also believe it is a helpful tool to make health a high priority in your home. That said, the gym is not a playground for kids to run wild in while coaching is occurring. We encourage you to use regularly scheduled exercise as a chance to train your children to have self control and to respect spaces that are not theirs. This means children may not use the qym equipment or access the training area until they are ready to participate in training themselves (ages 12+).
